It’s now officially autumn, so I’ve decided to share with you this grilled veg recipe- perfect for bbq season closing.
- 4 sweet corn cobs (about 800g)
- 2 yellow peppers
- 2 red peppers
- 1 medium zucchini (650g)
- 0,5 orange
- salt, pepper
- provence herb mix
First of all, you have to cook the corn if you bought the green ones. Just take a big pot, fill it with water and let it boil. Remove the corn leaves (how are they called?) and put the cobs into the pot. Let them cook properly.
Now, you need to prepare all of the vegetables. Take the peppers, slice them in half, remove the seeds. Then, slice them into quarters.
Take the zucchini and slice it thinly. After that, you have to take the corn cobs (you should let them sit for a while so they wouldn’t be too hot) and slice each into 8 pieces. It won’t be that easy to do that because the inside will be hard. Don’t cut yourself!
Take the bowl with vegetables and squeeze the orange half on top.
To make taste better, season everything with salt, pepper and the spice mix.
It’s time for the best part! You can cook the vegetables on grill, but you can also do that in the oven, if the weather is not that good, or you simply don’t have a grill. You just need to preheat the oven to 180ºC (356.00ºF) and cook everything for about 15 to 20 minutes.

It’s been quite a busy week for me and I faced some problems with my camera, but nothing’s stopped me from trying out some new recipes and sharing one of them with you guys!
So as you can tell from the title, this week I’m going to show you how to make these delicious yet very easy to make sandwiches (simillar to bruschetta, but a bit different).
You are going to need:
- 1 baguette (freshly baked)
- 1 piece mocarella
- 4-5 medium tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- bruschetta spice mix (optional)
First of all, preheat the oven to 180ºC (356.00ºF). Then, take the baguette, cut off the harden ends and slice it.
Take the butter and spread it over the pieces of baguette (make sure that the layer of butter is thin). Cut the mocarella cheese. You need one piece mocarella for each sandwich. After putting all the pieces on bread, take the tomatoes and slice them as well. Put them on top of the sandwiches.
You can now chop some fresh basil. If you have some bruschetta spice mix, which includes garlic, onion, red pepper, salt and tomato, or anything simillar, sprinkle that on the sandwiches.
Place the bruschettas on a baking pan and put it in the oven for about 7 to 9 minutes!
They are just perfect as a starter or snack. This time, some guests came and I just served these! Also, they’re both tasty hot or slightly cooled!

I would like to talk a bit about the movie I’ve seen- The Hundred-Foot Journey.
The name of the movie there is in Lithuanian.
Movie, at first, is so inspiring! It’s about an indian family which, by accident, stops at a small village of France. They have to spend the night there and they meet Marguerite, a sous chef working in a local restaurant. In the early morning papa Kadam finds a place for sale and decides to open an indian restaurant there. But here comes Hassan, a son of the Kadam’s, and surprises everyone by his talent to cook.
In movie there are some unpleasant disputes, but as the story goes on, you’d probably find it really cozy and romantic.
I would highly recommend watching this movie if you’re a fan of comedy-drama genre (as I am). Also, it inspires you not to give up your dreams and do your best!
I was there with a friend so we’ve bought some popcorn. What’s a movie without them? Ha ha

Hey there! This time I’m going to share a super easy to make recipe which is a healthy banana and spinach smoothie recipe!
You will need:
- 1,5 cup fresh spinach (you can use less if you’re not a huge fan of them)
- 2 frozen bananas (I would recommend using the frozen ones, but if you don’t have them, just add some ice cubes into the blender)
- 1,5 cup water (of course the amount depends on the size of bananas, so just eye-measure it!)
And yes, it is one of those recipes where you just put everything into a blender and mix everything well (you probably don’t want to have any clumps or something!). This recipe serves 2, so you can share with someone!
This smoothie is perfect for breakfast or just as a snack. It is quite filling, but not too much!

Yes, autumn is now here. And there are couple things that I love about it:
- Cozy weather. Who doesn’t like to have a cup of tea/ coffee while it’s rainning outside? And it’s normal to drink chai now (it would seem strange drinking it in summer)!
- Natural food. I really appreciate the fact that I’m able to get some fruits and vegetables without chemicals, preservatives or stuff like that. It’s because my loved grandparents grow them at their garden and give a lot of them to my parents. But it’s also okay buying some from farmer’s or even from a supermarket… Just get some!
Freshly grown vegetables
- Nature. I just adore watching leaves falling down…
- Why not to come back to food? Ha ha! Yes, it’s turning into the season of spices (such as cinnamon, cloves…) so why not to use them in our food more often? I will be showing some recipes that are 100% autumn!
- Lazy days. Perfect to read a good book or watch an old movie!
So that’s about everything in my ‘must to do /have’ autumn list! Okay, just kidding, I don’t have one. But anyway, autumn is great (like any other season) and has it’s own advantages.
